Where Every Stitch Has a Story

Where Every Stitch Has a Story

Behind the Seams at Moon n Lotus

When we talk about slow fashion in India, we often focus on plant-based fabrics, eco-friendly dyes, and zero-waste production methods. But there’s one element that often gets overlooked — the people.

At Moon n Lotus, a Goa-based slow fashion brand, every stitch carries a human story. And every garment is shaped by hands that care.

Meet Masterji Montula urf Minnat Ulla — The Heart Behind Every Seam

Inside our peaceful workshop in Goa, you’ll find Masterji Minnat Ulla. With over 20 years of experience in artisan tailoring working wonders with his team, his hands have worked magic with every kind of cloth — from rose petal fabric to organic hemp.

He’s more than just a tailor.
He’s the reason our garments fit effortlessly.
The reason your bamboo shirt drapes like second skin.
The reason a timeless silhouette becomes your everyday favorite.

Therefore we say, Fabric is not a canvas. It’s the story itself. And His touch brings softness to structure — and rhythm to routine. He’s one of the many reasons Moon n Lotus feels the way it does.

 Small-Batch Production

At Moon n Lotus, we don’t chase trends or churn out hundreds of units.
We believe in small-batch, intentional fashion — and that’s where Masterji leads with care.

Each garment is part of a batch having a limited number of pieces, designed and tailored in our production unit Goa. Every button, pleat, and panel is crafted under Masterji’s thoughtful eye.

Why small-batch?

  • Reduces fabric waste

  • Ensures consistent sizing and quality

  • Allows time for tailored details

  • Supports fair wages and ethical timelines

  • Keeps the process intimate and transparent

In fast fashion, everything is rushed. In slow fashion, every stitch is a decision. Therefore our production is rooted in sustainability and human dignity And we believe that Transparency is the new luxury — because true sustainable fashion in India is slow, rooted and real, just like Goa.
